Referees
Students will often ask their teacher/s to be their referee. NSW public school teachers must be very careful.
NSW public school teachers are forbidden by the Department from providing references on school letterhead in their capacity as teachers.
Potential student workers are encouraged to seek referees from amongst the responsible adults they know. There is more about this on the student section on this site.
Teachers in NSW public schools not allowed to provide personal references on school letterhead, or mention their school.
Students are urged to make sure they ask any potential referee first.
