If there are any OHS problems at work
Students may turn to their teacher to discuss problems with OHS at work. Provide them with the right answers.
Students may need to contact their union rep, workplace OHS rep, or WorkCover NSW, the NSW government organisation responsible for enforcing Occupational Health and Safety law.
The following advice could be provided to students if they request information about what to do
First, report any safety issues to their supervisor, manager or employer. The employer has a legal obligation to ensure that the workplace is safe for all employees.
If the reported problems aren't fixed, they might need to contact their union rep, employee OH&S rep, union, or WorkCover NSW - - The NSW Government organisation responsible for enforcing Occupational Health and Safety law.
